The Real Oviedo defender Carlos Hernández visited the press room after training at El Requexón this morning.

The defender feels good, "with a high workload, working on what the coach wants, integrating the coaching staff's concepts and getting to know my teammates. Anquela wants a lot of intensity and pressure after losing the ball, which is fundamental in this division. He's emphasized that since the first day, and each day it's coming together a little more".

When asked about the competition in the defense and the tactical concepts that are being trained on, Carlos indicated that "the coach knows the importance of the defense and he likes to work with us because the defense is the base of a solid team. Whoever comes in will have to adapt as quickly as possible to what the coach wants, and for those of us who are already here, we will have to show that we are apt for what he wants".

Regarding the friendly match tomorrow in Ribadeo against his former team, CD Lugo, the defender commented that "we know it's a team who plays the ball well, it's a game to measure our strength and see what level both teams are at".

Concerning the progress of the preseason, Carlos Hernández recognized that "it's to get our legs ready and catch a spark. Certainly every preseason is different, with Anquela it is more demanding, which he wants, and hard work is unnegotiable, as is attitude. It doesn't matter whether it's a training or a friendly match, or who the opponent is".

The defender seemed delighted by the reception he has received so far, saying "I'm very grateful for the availability of the club personnel and my teammates, which is important in a time of adaptation. Everyone is willing to help if you need something, which I'm grateful for, because you settle in comfortably much sooner".
