The bulk of the activities will resume next month

There are no reactions yet. Be the first!
September will be the month of the Real Oviedo Foundation, with the majority of the activities starting for another year. Once again all involved with the projects will go into the new year with their usual enthusiasm and excitement.

The Escuela Real Oviedo (Real Oviedo Soccer School) will get another season underway between 29th August and 1st September. Once again, it will do so with a record number of children signed up for the different teams, all of whom will continue to practise sport before a backdrop of values and Oviedismo at FUNDOMA.

One new feature has seen the Real Oviedo Foundation reach an agreement with UD San Claudio for the creation of a Soccer School at the 'José Ramón Suárez Fernández' training facilities, where registrations are arriving at a good rate. In San Claudio Real Oviedo coaches will impart the same methodology that they have been using in different teams within the Real Oviedo academy. They will have the support of the work done by the Escuela Real Oviedo at FUNDOMA over the course of recent years.

FUNDOMA will also continue to provide the base for Real Oviedo Genuine, who will begin training in the first week of September, as will the Real Oviedo Soccer School for Functional Diversity. The coaches carry out crucial work to enable football to be a force for integration.

The start of the school year will see the Real Oviedo Foundation continue to carry out events in educational centres around the capital of Asturias, encouraging boys and girls to take part in activities promoting healthy living habits.

Another of the activities which will resume in September is that of the Programme for Sports Integration in Asturias Penitentiary Centre. This project has the objectives of using sport to provide the inmates with healthy living habits and values such as companionship, fair play, effort, and overcoming obstacles.

The 'Sports without Age Limits' activity, aimed at enabling the elderly to be active, will return at the same time as the rest of the activities. We are expecting to see the same good atmosphere as last year. The great reception the sessions received at the start meant that another year of the activity was a certainty.

These are just some of the projects being developed by the Real Oviedo Foundation for the coming season. The staff are working hard to organise new initiatives which cover every area of society, with the aim of everything that the wider community gives our club.

In the coming weeks all of the information will be announced about all of the activities that are now getting underway, as well as new projects that are due to begin this year.
