Real Oviedo came up against Burgos CF in Matchday 27 in LaLiga Hypermotion, with Los Azules dominating their opponent from start to finish and allowing themselves to continue dreaming.

The Asturians' hunger and ambition was clear right from the first minute, as they pressed the visitors back right from the outset. Los Carbayones were able to take the lead in just the 14th minute, with Sebas Moyano finding the back of the net to make the score 1-0. The team continued in search of further goals, and in the 42nd minute Seoane guided the ball home perfectly from a Santi Cazorla corner kick. Sebas Moyano extended the lead still further in the 45 minute, making the score 3-0 and adding his second goal of the encounter.

The fans provided their team with a standing ovation during the half-time interval, and the party continued during the second half. Just after the match resumed, Sebas Moyano sealed his hattrick, slotting the ball past the goalkeeper to make the score 4-0. The scoreline was enough to make Luis Carrión turn to his bench, bringing on Masca in place of Dubasin, before later introducing Bastón, Homenchenko, Borja Sánchez, and Lucas, with the Uruguayan midfielder making his debut for the club. During the final stages, Borja Bastón completed the scoring, converting from the penalty spot to make it 5-0 and round off a perfect afternoon for all Oviedistas.

This victory sees Los Carbayones move onto 41 points and into sixth place in the table, albeit with fixtures still remaining this matchday. With morale now boosted massively, Carrión's team will begin preparations for the league fixture against Real Valladolid at Estadio José Zorrilla.
