Our whole society has gone through difficult times in recent months. A lockdown, a battle against the pandemic which has hit us, and extraordinary circumstances which have conditioned our very way of life. On the pitch, we've had a battle for survival without the support, push, and affection of our fans in the stands of the Carlos Tartiere. During these months we have really missed our loved ones. However, in our case, we have been incredibly grateful to have still felt your backing, in ways never previously imagined, and in spite of the exceptional circumstances that we have all had to overcome.
At the end of the final match of the season at the Carlos Tartiere, and after returning to the dressing room, all of our players went back out onto the pitch to pay homage to our fans. Looking out onto the stands, our players threw their shirts into the stands as a symbol of gratitude. They bid farewell to the vacant seats, the sight of which has left us feeling so empty, with a rousing ovation. It was their way of saying THANK YOU, OVIEDISTAS. We have really missed you.
From today, and in the coming days, we will be raffling off each of these shirts amongst all of the club's season-ticket holders from the 2019/20 season. We will announce one winner per day on our social networking pages, and we will get in touch with each of them in order to organise delivery of the shirts.
