The Palacio de Congresos de Oviedo was turned completely blue and filled by 2,000 Oviedistas this evening, as it provided the backdrop for the presentation of the Real Oviedo Foundation.
The gala was attended by Arturo Elías Ayub and his family, along with Oviedo City Mayor Alfredo Canteli, and the entire Real Oviedo Board of Directors. Musician José Asunción began the show with his electric violin, as he was joined by the Escuela de Danza Lía . The event was presented by British journalist from The Guardian and ESPN, Sid Lowe, Digital Content Creator Daniel Fernández, and Laura González-Manjoya. All of the different projects and areas which make up the Real Oviedo Foundation were discussed during the hour-long presentation, including community projects, the historic patrimony of the club, Escuela Real Oviedo, the international projects, and the announcement of the agreement with the American Academica Corporation which will see the creation of a project combining education and football for international students.
The finale saw Arturo Elías Ayub welcomed with great affection by all present, before he gave an incredible speech full of important messages for the club and the first team.
