The Real Oviedo first-team squad is not taking any breaks and is maintaining the intensity in its quarantine work. Right from the first day of the State of Alert, our first team and B team players have had exercise bikes provided for them in their homes by our sponsor GoFit, which have allowed them to train at home. Last Monday's 'masterclass' session was given to them by Olympic champion cyclist Samuel Sánchez, while today's spinning class was led by famous cycling youtuber Ibon Zugasti. He led the members of the first-team squad through a tough online cycling class, which lasted over an hour. Ibon proved a demanding instructor, but also entertained them with his great sense of humour.
The collaboration began with Ibon Zugasti sending a message of support to the team, saying "Hala Oviedo! You have to get back into the Primera División as soon as possible." This encouragement and support was followed by a tough workout full of pedalling and sweat.
