The Real Oviedo winger, Saúl Berjón, today appeared in the Press Room at El Requexón.

After analysing last Sunday’s match against Alcorcón, Saúl argued that “it wasn’t such a bad match, despite the result. We weren’t bad in many periods of the game. We have to get our form back on track and sooner or later we will win while playing badly.” In addition, the Asturian said that, “we’re in mid-table, and we’re calm. It’s an even league and we are  still up there. There are three more points at stake this weekend, and we  have to go for the win against Albacete.”

Regarding the necessity of picking up a win, and the possibility of doing so this weekend at the Carlos Tartiere, the attacker highlighted that, “we want to win, particularly at home. We have to get wins, but all of the opponents are good. We have to prepare, study our opponent and listen to the Coach. The squad is calm. It will be a long season with many twists and turns. It’s very competitive and a very long season.”

Asked about the damage being done by small details each week, Saúl commented that, “we have to be more consistent and mindful of minor details. Football is being harsh to us, with the small details doing us a lot of damage.”

With respect to the next opponent, Albacete, the Real Oviedo captain stated that, “they’re a great team with good players, who will make things difficult for us. We can beat anyone when we compete, though.”

Finally, regarding absences for Sunday’s match, Saúl Berjón said that, “I wish we had everyone available but we have people ready in the B team and in the first team squad. The Coach will decide, but we have to stay calm,” he concluded.
