Real Oviedo forward, Ibrahima Baldé, appeared in the Press Room at El Requexón today.

The attacker began by evaluating the state of the team ahead of the latest LaLiga fixture, admitting that “the team is aware of how things are going. We are working to get positive results. It’s time to play at home and we have to change our form. We are convinced that it’s possible with hard work and the fans behind us.”

Ahead of possibly being one of the players chosen by Juan Antonio Anquela to face Albacete, Ibra highlighted that, “we are here to help. It’s a shame we have players out, but it’s time to step up and give it everything. We have a squad with quality and I think we need to keep competing and being aggressive in order to get the victory. We are going to try to win at home and then think about what comes after that.”

Asked about Albacete, the Senegalese commented that, “the opponent is a very good team. It’s all about making few mistakes and producing a better game than they do, as we go for the three points.”

With respect to his adaptation to the city, the striker said that, “I’m fine and can’t complain. The city and people are all great, although if we can get a good result then we’ll be much better!”

Finally, regarding the B team players who have been training with the first team in recent weeks, Ibrahima Baldé said that, “they are very good. They have all the ability and professionalism needed to help us. It’s good that the Coach gives them a chance and we are all equal. Football is how it is. We have to give it everything. We are professionals and we have to do what we have to do,” he concluded.
