Located right in the heart of Oviedo, at number 22 Calle Caveda, the new Real Oviedo Official Club Shop was presented to the media and sponsors yesterday, with a number of representatives from the first team also in attendance.
The new establishment has a vintage vibe, with a large number of elements linking the past and present of the club. In addition, there are components characteristic of Adidas, who actively participated in the
development of this new initiative. The store will not just be a shopping space, but also has the intention of being a site for ‘Oviedistas’ to feel proud of their club and enjoy the experience.
The act of inauguration featured a large representation from Real Oviedo, headed by Joaquín del Olmo, Director Fernando Corral, the Director for Institutional Relations César Martín, the Managing Director David Alonso Mata, and the Sporting Director Ángel Martín. First-team players Toché, Christian Fernández, Diegui Johannesson, Mossa, Ibra and Osvaldo Alanís were also in attendance. The Club President of Real Oviedo Femenino, members of the Asociación de Peñas (Association of Supporters’ Clubs), sponsors, and members of the media were all also present.
Club Director, Fernando Corral, spoke to the gathered press, evaluating the club’s new venture. He described it as, “an initiative which combines the commercial area with the history of the club. At Real Oviedo, we wanted to combine a shopping space with a place for fans to enjoy football.”
With respect to the commercial area of the club, the Asturian believes that, “the project is working very well. It is progressing and gradually growing. We have a star product, which is the shirt, but we try to freshen ourselves up every year. We are going to be incorporating new products, such as the official glasses and clothing for dogs, which will be available soon. We’ve now passed 200 items, which says a lot. The club is growing.”
Finally, the Club Director wanted to “say thanks to Integra, Adidas, BSB, Armando Cuendias, and everyone else who has made this initiative possible.” He highlighted “the incredible effort to make Real Oviedo fans feel at home in this new site.”
Fans of ‘Los Azules’ will be able to get to know their new store from 10:00 this morning and will have the chance to acquire official products for the current season. The shop will be open from 10:00-21:00, from Monday to Saturday.
