Real Oviedo and Aston Villa FC have reached an agreement for Leander Dendoncker to join the Asturian side on a deal running until 30th June 2027.
Leander Dendoncker was born on 15th April 1995 in Passendale, Belgium. The midfielder began his career with RSC Anderlecht during the 2014/2015 campaign, spending five seasons in the Belgian league, before signing for Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Dendoncker played 159 matches with Wolves, picking up valuable experience in English football, in one of the best leagues in the world. He joined Aston Villa in 2022, before spending time on loan with Napoli and RSC Anderlecht.
In addition, the new Real Oviedo signing has experience with his national team. He made his full Belgium debut on 7th June 2015 in a friendly against France, before being included in Roberto Martínez's squad for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
