Real Oviedo defender, Carlos Hernández, today appeared in the Press Room at El Requexón.

Having returned to training with the group, Carlos declared that, “I wanted to be with my teammates. It’s been a long time and I’m very happy now.” In addition, regarding his recuperation, the defender highlighted that,
“it’s hard when you’re out for a second time. You have a different routine when you’re injured, but I’m back training with the group now. I feel good. I feel well, will work hard, and am available to the Coach.”

Ahead of next weekend’s match against Granada, Carlos Hernández commented that, “we’re going to a difficult away ground, like they all are in this division. We are going to face a good team, who’ve proven they are one by their position in the league table.”

Asked what it’s like to watch matches from the sidelines, he highlighted that, “it all seems very easy. You suffer and see things differently. On the pitch, you’re caught up in your role, but from the outside everything changes. The team has to defend and improve. We have to be strong and solid and recover our best level.” In addition, the centre back believes that, “we can’t let doubts enter our minds. We aren’t bad. Losing hurts, but we have to take the next match with confidence and excitement.”

Finally, asked about the possible motivation provided by a trip to the league leaders, Carlos reasoned that, “they’re just another three points. We know it’s a tough ground to go to, but if we play well we can beat anyone. It’s all about thinking about ourselves and improving,” he concluded.
