The Tartiere needed its fans, and there can be no doubt that the Oviedistas responded once more.  With a spectacular atmosphere at the Tartiere, there was a big change to Rozada's starting tactics, as the team played a 4-4-2 for the first time.  Ibra and Rodrigo were up top, with Tejera coming back into the eleven and Sangalli and Saúl on the wings.
The first half saw a lot of chances for both sides.  On the half-hour mark, Ibra's goal sent the crowd wild at the Tartiere, but they were disappointed shortly afterwards, when VAR ruled the goal out for offside following the celebrations.  Another opportunity arrived in the 35th minute, when Rodrigo was felled in the area and a penalty was awarded.  Saúl Berjón took the spotkick, but Nadal denied him, and the score remained 0-0.  The effort finally brought its reward before the break, when Tejera scored from a Saúl Berjón pass.  The Catalan midfielder fired home from the edge of the box to make the score 1-0, and the stadium erupted.  The joy wasn't to last long, with a penalty being awarded for a Christian Fernández foul on Zozulia. Pedro took the penalty just before halftime, was denied by Lunin, but managed to convert the rebound.  The scores were level at the interval, but the Tartiere crowd was fully behind its team.
Things changed in the second half and Los Azules began to dominate the match more.  Luismi headed wide from a corner, before Ibra finally got the rub of the green, heading home from Saúl Berjón's cross to make the score 2-1.  Christian then had a headed effort saved by Nadal.  Real Oviedo did then extend their lead to 3-1, however, as Ibra received the ball from a cushioned header by Christian, turned and fired across the goalkeeper.  The Asturians almost scored a fourth in added time, when Mossa's effort hit the post.  The crowd at the Tartiere suffered, supported, and finally enjoyed seeing their team get back to winning ways at home when they most needed to do so.
