Real Oviedo has today opened its second shop in the city of Oviedo.  In addition to the existing Casa del Oviedista in the heart of the city, the club has this afternoon inaugurated a new official store, located in Los Prados Shopping Centre.  It sees a return to our origins, with the store very close to the site of the club's first stadium.
The new shop can be found on the ground floor, next to Correos.  It has been born out of the club's strategy of continuing its progression in the commercial area and seeks to satisfy the demand for a new store within the city.  It boasts free parking, the possibility of acquiring official products, as well as ticket purchases for our fans.  The customer-service point will allow transactions relating to tickets and season tickets to be carried out.
The new Real Oviedo Club Shop has enjoyed the collaboration of Adidas, who have once more been a key partner in this new adventure we are beginning.
The official opening was attended by Club President Jorge Menéndez Vallina, Head of Institutional Relations César Martín, and Federico González, who has just arrived back in the city.  Francesc Arnau and David Comamala, on behalf of the sports side of the club, as well as a number of sponsors, were also in attendance at the event.
Jorge Menéndez Vallina wished to "thank the work of all Real Oviedo workers for this new project.  Particularly Fernando Corral and Adidas... we have created a new corner of Oviedismo, and a new home for fans."
The Club President moved on to talk about the current situation at the club, beginning with the transfer market.  "It's likely that another player will come in.  Rodri is registered now.  It was a long fight.  LaLiga put a
lot of limits on this area.  They are their rules and we have to adapt to them.  It isn't easy.  We have found sponsorships and we have to analyse it well. Carso has synergies in Mexico and it should be something normal that
they have found us sponsors there."  In addition, regarding the window, Jorge Menéndez Vallina admitted that "we are working just as hard on departures as on arrivals.  There are always possibilities.  Anything can
happen before the deadline.  It's typical of this window and all the teams are the same.  Arnau is working well and I want to congratulate him."
With respect to the team's form, the President stated that "we are all worried.  We have just played against two teams that are up there and we did well.  Javi (Rozada) is calm.  We have strengthened the team and have to keep fighting.  You can see he is confident and hungry."
Asked about refereeing decisions, Menéndez Vallina said that "there have been penalty decisions and final minutes... I've asked for explanations. VAR needs to be looked at again and they need to look for uniformity in the
criteria for decisions."
Finally, discussing the great atmosphere expected at the Carlos Tartiere this weekend, the President highlighted that "we have to thank the fans and all those who have shown their support and backing.  APARO, Fondo Norte... we have to stick together.  We'll see how it all goes."
The new shop will open its doors to the public this Friday, with opening hours of 10:00-22:00.  Fans of Los Azules will be able to visit and purchase official products for the current season.  Companion tickets for the matches against Albacete and Alcorcón will also be on sale, as well as free match tickets for purchases above €15.
