The Press Room at the Carlos Tartiere today hosted Javi Rozada's Press Conference, in the build-up to this Sunday's match against Albacete.
The Coach began by evaluating the state of his squad ahead of the next match, saying that "everyone is available, except Edu (Cortina).  Yoel (Bárcenas) and Marco (Sangalli) have trained and we hope they'll make it." In addition, speaking about Rodri Ríos' potential debut, the Coach commented that "he has a chance.  We have to see how the lads are doing, but he has a chance of starting.  Rodri has done well and could start."
With just hours remaining until the transfer window closes, Javi Rozada said that "it's crazy.  Moves happen very quickly, and I just want tomorrow to get here.  I am calm and know that Arnau will leave the squad in  goodshape.  I am grateful for his work.  I am expecting some movement.  I don't know whether there will be exits, or signings.  I have only spoken to Lucas.  Whatever happens with him, I will always wish him the best.  We
trust each other and he asked me.  I gave him an opinion, thinking about his future."  In addition, with respect to his feelings about the team, the Oviedo-born coach highlighted that "I was happy with what I had.  We have a team which can compete man-to-man with any team in Segunda, as you saw in Girona.  It's time to get a lot of points now and not make excuses.  Real Oviedo has a great squad."
Going into the Albacete encounter, Rozada admitted that, "it's a vital match; a 'cup final'.  The team doesn't deserve it to be, because we should have six extra points.  Albacete are close to us in the table and we have to pull them into the battle."  Regarding the opposition, Javi Rozada said that "this division is about form and winning is difficult.  They haven't won for a while, but it is the same team that was in the playoffs last year.  We respect them and know they are competitive.  We are working on doing things well."
Asked about possible changes to the eleven, the Asturian highlighted that "the other day three players who had been starters didn't start.  Anyone can come in.  There is competition in the team and whoever wins their place will play.  The eleven in the best shape will be the eleven who start.  We have enough in the squad for a lot of options."
Finally, discussing the atmosphere he expects at the Tartiere, Javi Rozada stated that "I have no words for it.  We have sold almost 7,000 extra tickets.  I ask the fans to help us and they will see a brave team.  Unity between the team and  fans is important so that we can get the most important three points of the season.  The Tartiere is a tough ground for the opponent when the fans push us on."
