Real Oviedo defender appeared before the press this afternoon as the team returned to training, following two rest days. The Valencian began by analysing Saturday’s match against Albacete, commenting that, “we weren’t happy. That’s the reality of the situation. We always want to win, and particularly in front of our own fans. I don’t think we need to be alarmists. We need to keep working hard and believing, because that is nwhat has got us here.”

With respect to how he feels about the point added to the tally, which at the end of the Matchday moved Real Oviedo closer to the automatic promotion places, Mossa explained that, “we know that everything changes in the second half of the season. You get pressured. Every team throws everything at whatever objective they have, and that means that it’s going to get much more difficult than it has been so far. Our work so far has put us into a privileged position for what’s coming up, but we need to be aware that the end of the season will be decided upon what we do from here on in.”

Regarding Saturday’s game and the fine performance from Albacete, Mossa commented that, “they were true to their playing style. They have played like that in every game since they changed their coach, and that’s got them out of the position they were in. They are to be respected, but we never settle for a draw, and even less so at home.”

Ahead of the trip to La Romareda, Mossa highlighted that, “it’s always nice to go to a stadium where you know you will find a good atmosphere. They are a historic club and a strong opponent, but they give us another chance to forget the Albacete match. They have won their last two games, and that always provides confidence, but we have no reason to be less confident than they are. We are on a good run, we kept a clean sheet on Saturday, and we have more confidence than ever in what we are doing and that we will be able to compete well against them.”

In addition, asked about the fact that a good atmosphere surrounds the team away from home despite it being a while since the last victory away from the Carlos Tartiere, Mossa pointed out that, “those crucial minor details haven’t always fallen our way. However, I believe that if we keep going like this they will end up falling our way, and that we will achieve things from here until the end of the season.”

Finally, when questioned about Rocha’s return from suspension, the full back stated that, “it’s always good news when we are all available. We all feel important. The other day Hidi came in having not played for a while, and now David is available again. If the Coach puts him in I’m sure he’ll play at a very good level, as he has been for a long time now. The important thing is that everyone is doing well, since an increase in competition improves the team’s level,” he concluded.
