Real Oviedo and Girona FC have agreed a deal for the permanent transfer of Ilyas Chaira, who signs a contract with the Asturians running until 30th June 2028.
This deal sees the winger extend his deal for the next three seasons, following his loan during the 2024/2025 season. He was a key part of the team that secured a historic promotion to Primera División.
Ilyas Chaira is 24 years old and had a fine season at the Carlos Tartiere, playing 35 matches, scoring 8 goals and picking up 3 assists. His dribbling, speed, and ability to beat a defender made him a crucial attacking outlet for Veljko Paunović's side. Chaira left his mark on history in the playoff final, scoring a vital goal which forced the second leg against CD Mirandés into extra time.
This permanent deal sees Real Oviedo strengthen the left wing with a proven player who is still developing and who already knows the demands of the Carlos Tartiere. Ilyas Chaira will be an important part of the club's project as it returns to the elite of Spanish football.
