Patrik Hidi was presented as Real Oviedo's newest player this afternoon in the press room at the Carlos Tartiere.
The club's Director of Institutional Relations, César Martín, hosted the presentation, welcoming the Hungarian midfielder and describing him as "an attacking player, with good ball control, good movement, and the ability to shoot. We are happy to have him here, he is going to perform well for the team. We are grateful for his excitement and desire to join this project, we want him to keep growing and contributing to the team from the beginning".
On his behalf, Hidi, with the help of Jagger Moore, who translated the questions to English, began by stating that "coming to Real Oviedo is a great step in my career. I think it is important for me, since it's the first time I am leaving my country and it can help me to play matches with the national team".
Regarding the differences between Spanish and Hungarian football and his ability to adapt, the midfielder said that "the football is better here. Spain has the best league in the world, I like how they play here. It will force me to improve, which is what every footballer has to do in order to grow, in my opinion".
When asked about his style of play and what he contributes to the team, Patrik Hidi defined himself as "a technical player, with the ability to shoot and hit long balls".
Finally, concerning his first time meeting his teammates and coach, the center midfielder said "I have only trained once, I met them this morning. They are all quite nice and hospitable, they are good guys".
