The coach of Real Oviedo, Guillermo Almada, appeared in the press room after his team's defeat at Son Moix in the last matchday of the season in LaLiga EA Sports. The Uruguayan assessed what he saw on the pitch as "bad; we played a bad game. We never felt comfortable, and although we created some chances, it was clear the team was shaken despite our efforts. The team was visibly affected emotionally."

When asked about his decision not to continue leading the team next season, the coach insisted that "why I made the decision is not important; what matters is the Club and what lies ahead in the future. After Villarreal and Elche, we started a downward spiral emotionally that affected us significantly in this final stretch."

Asked about his assessment of the work he has done at Real Oviedo, the Uruguayan coach stated that "this is the first time I have taken over a team mid-season. The team was aggressive and created opportunities. We lost many points unfairly, and then we hit a slump that made it difficult to maintain the players' morale."

Regarding the future, and although it will not be with him, Almada assured that Jesús Martínez is "a passionate man, very committed to the institution. He is surely already preparing for the next season and making investments in players and improving the squad."
