The Press Room at El Requexón today saw Simone Grippo talk to the media, as the first team returned to training.
The centre back began by evaluating the most important reasons behind Real Oviedo's good performance away at the league leaders, saying that "I think it's all about being solid and looking for consistency. We are capable of doing it, even if we weren't on our game against Leganés. We are going to show it in the coming games. We were compact, had tighter lines, and fought for all of the individual battles. It's all about concentration, taking a step forward and being responsible. We are going to face a strong team at the weekend. They are good at set pieces, and we have to give it everything."
Discussing the Ponferradina fixture further, Simone Grippo highlighted that "it will be a hard clash. They are in form but we are going to make things difficult for them."
Asked who he prefers to play alongside at the heart of the defence, Grippo reasoned that "I have a good understanding with all of them, be it with Carlos (Hernández), Christian (Fernández), or Alejandro (Arribas). We are doing well. There is healthy competition and I think we all contribute."
Finally, with respect to Los Azules' objectives for the remainder of the season, the Swiss defender stated that "we have to prepare each week to win as many matches as possible and then we will see. We are looking for consistency of results and we have to achieve it in these final matches."
