Real Oviedo defender Carlos Hernández made an appearance in the press room at El Requexón.

In light of the imminent start of competition, the player from Jaén highlighted that, “Throughout the season we have had good feelings, we’ve been doing well, and the new signings have been playing at a great level.
Now the most important part is about to start, it’s not time to just pursue good feelings anymore, it’s time to get points. We’re ready to start LaLiga off on the right foot.”

The blue defender recognizes that, “This week everything is going to be much more important. We have to recover and think about the start.”

Regarding the possible variations on defense, the player from Jaén highlighted that, “We’ve played with three and with four and it’s been good. It’s a long competition, we need everyone to be at their best. We must adapt to what the gaffer wants, make it difficult for him and let him decide. He has complete confidence in us and he manages our roles well.”

Asked about their first opponent in LaLiga, Extramadura, Carlos said that, “It’s a team that has just been promoted and they’ve been working hard all preseason. I’m sure that they’re going to go all out, they’ll be coming really excited. We have to concentrate and start off on the right foot at home.”

Specifically, on starting at Carlos Tartiere, the center back believes that, “It’s much better to start at home. We have to get the three points.”

Finally, on his prediction regarding his goal-scoring aspect this season, Carlos stated that, “We need the team to score goals and hope we can have another good year, then we’ll see,” the player from Jaén concluded.
