Real Oviedo has reached an agreement with Real Sociedad for the transfer of Carlos Fernández, who becomes a new player of the blue entity under contract until June 2028, pending the completion of the pertinent medical examination.

Born in Castilleja de Guzmán (Seville) on May 22, 1996, Carlos Fernández was trained in the youth academy of Sevilla FC, a club with which he debuted for the first team while still a youth player, thus beginning a career that has led him to compete in both the First and Second Divisions.

After his formative years in Nervión, the forward was loaned to Deportivo de La Coruña and later to Granada CF, where he had a remarkable season, scoring 14 goals across the League and Cup and playing a key role in the historic qualification of the Nazarí team for the Europa League.

His performance opened the doors to Real Sociedad, a team he joined in January 2021 and where he remained for the last six seasons. With the Donostiarra team, he won the Copa del Rey in 2021 before moving on to Cádiz CF and CD Mirandés, achieving an outstanding season with the latter by scoring 16 goals in 35 matches, reaffirming his scoring ability.

Now, Carlos Fernández joins Real Oviedo to strengthen the blue attack, bringing goals, experience, and work ethic. He is a proven player with extensive experience in Spanish professional football and accustomed to competing in high-demand scenarios.
