Real Oviedo presented Juan Cruz and Carlos Fernández as new players of the blue team this Tuesday in the GAM press room at the Carlos Tartiere. The club's sporting director, David Fernández, was also present to accompany the players and answer questions from the media.

"It was a very attractive option. I am grateful to the people who made it possible for me to be here today. This was an important step in my career, and I have felt full confidence," declared Carlos Fernández first.

"I am very happy to be here and I hope to contribute to the team as much as possible. There is a very good group, and that is very important for this year," said Juan Cruz.

When asked about Real Oviedo's aspirations for this season, the new blue full-back stated, "We all know the project the Club is working on, and it is one of the most ambitious in the category. My mentality is the same. I came here to help, and I consider this Club to be a First Division team, which is where it should be."

When it was the sporting director's turn to answer questions, David Fernández emphasized, "We were convinced on the footballing level about both of them. The conversation with both was decisive to be sure they were our first options and that we wanted them with us."

"We are prepared for anything that may happen, both in terms of departures and arrivals. We already have an important part of the squad with us, and that is significant news," he concluded.
