This morning, El Requexón’s pressroom hosted Toché’s farewell press conference. After the end of his four-year tenure at Real Oviedo, the forward wanted to address the media.

The Murcia native started by “thanking Michu and Joaquin for being with me until the end; it says a lot about them,” and also thanking “Grupo Carso, I have lived wonderful years. I am proud to have worn these colors and I am aware of the greatness of the club. I am proud to have been a captain, it is one of the things that I feel most proud of, greatness in itself. I thank the coaches, I have learned something from everyone, and they have treated me great. I also thank the press people, the club workers, and the medical staff. I come here and I am treated like one of their own, which is what I wanted.”

Upon his departure, the forward said that “we knew that the cycle was over, and it was the best for both parties. I leave a bit sad, I’m leaving many friends. I'm going to miss the club, but it was the best way to end. I leave with the thorn of not being promoted. We have had it close, but I think it will be achieved soon. This fanbase and the club deserve the promotion. I will be one more Oviedista, who will cheer for the team.”

Regarding his time at Real Oviedo, the now-former ‘blue’ player highlighted that “this is the most important team of my career. I didn't know how this was going to play out, but it was the wisest decision of my career. Betting on Real Oviedo was a great reward. I will treasure the love from the club and the people, everyone appreciates the work that was done. It is true that I’ve had good and not-so-good moments, but I want to be remembered as a good person rather than by the goals I scored.”

When asked about the best moment of the last four seasons, Toché affirmed that “it was scoring at El Molinón, it meant a lot to the people. It was something that the fanbase had been waiting for quite some time. I am proud that the celebration represented a powerful feeling.”

Lastly, concerning a possible return to the club in the future, the attacker reflected that “you cannot predict what will happen. I now have to think about my future, I want to continue playing, and I am sure that this year Real Oviedo will fight for the promotion,” concluded the forward.
