Real Oviedo arrived at Anduva needing to win, as did the home side, with both teams going into the match on one point. Egea altered the starting eleven, bringing Juanjo Nieto and Christian back in, and opting for Lolo in centre midfield and Riki as the attacking midfielder.

With hundreds of Oviedistas cheering them on, Los Azules got off to a good start. Lolo fired the first warning shot, with a driven shot which brushed a defender and led to a corner. Ortuño was not so forgiving in the 9th minute, firing home after a fine tackle and pass by Jimmy and making the score 1-0. Egea’s side continued to play well, pinning Mirandés back in their area. Nereo Champagne then intervened to make a good save, just before the hosts did manage to find the equaliser. Ortuño had the best chance before the break, heading Saúl’s cross just over the bar.

Edu Cortina came on to replace the booked Lolo at the start of the second half. Mirandés grew in dominance of the play and began to threaten more, although still without creating too much danger. Christian Fernández was dismissed for a straight red in the 64th minute. Riki was replaced by Arribas to cover the resulting defensive gap. Real Oviedo had the odd chance on the counter, despite their numerical disadvantage. With a point seeming a good result, Mirandés made the score 2-1 in the 88th minute. Champagne made a fine stop from the initial effort, but the rebound was converted.

The team will return to training at 10:30 tomorrow.
