Real Oviedo winger Saúl Berjón today appeared in the Press Room at El Requexón.

Following this morning’s recovery training session, the Asturian analysed the match against Mirandés, highlighting that “it’s another game where we’ve been punished in the final minutes. I don’t think it’s because we are making mistakes all game, but the final stages are doing us damage. We have to solve it, because you pay a heavy price in this division. I think the first half-hour was very good. We made Mirandés disappear. We then
changed our mindset and punished ourselves. We have to close things out better and finish matches differently. We have to push forward. We haveto get a win now, because things can’t keep going like this.”

Regarding next weekend’s match against Elche, the winger said that “it will be a hard game and we need to win. We’ve got the fans behind us this week, which is a positive. We know they’re not happy, but we need them in order to win. We have to be solid. It’s all about Sunday. We have to show we can do it and that with those three points we can change things. The team is worried, but ok. I understand people being nervous, but we are going for the victory and doing things as best we can. We are going to push a little more.”

Finally, with respect to the atmosphere, Saúl concluded by admitting that n“I’m annoyed for them. This isn’t a nice situation to be in, and we will try to win for the team and for the fans. They don’t deserve this. We have good fans, good players and a good team, and we have to show that we can be higher up the table.”
