Real Oviedo Head Coach Sergio Egea today appeared in the Press Room at El Requexón after the team had trained behind closed doors.

After the last few results, the Argentine demanded the necessary calm to be able to turn things around, highlighting that "LaLiga has just got started. It's a long season and I have faith that we will turn our form around. This is like a virus, and we have never seen it before. It's a bad run points-wise, but not in terms of the performances. The lads are working and I'm sure they will get their rewards."

Asked about the psychological work that the squad has been doing, Egea commented that "you have to work on your mind, just like everything else. I can see the lads are in good shape, fresh and confident that they can
change our form. Psychological work is common in the world of football. It helps the players. We thought that you have to work on our minds too. They've come in to contribute tools, and it is necessary."

With respect to his view of the team, Sergio Egea admitted that "I am very positive. It's normal for the Coach to take responsibility. I am hurting on behalf of the fans, and we want to make them happy. There is time to change things. We have good professionals and we have to turn this around. Coaches live and die by results. The game is about winning, and it's normal for things to be said. Coaches turn into the target, but there
has to be common sense. I want what's best for Real Oviedo and I have faith that our form is going to change. We must keep working as a group and concentrate. We have to stick with the team to the death, because they are going to give everything. We are carrying our heads high so that we can change our form."

Regarding the atmosphere he expects to see at the Carlos Tartiere on Sunday, the Coach commented that "I expect a positive Tartiere. They will be with the team for the 90 minutes, because their help is very important. We are upset that we haven't made them happy, because they deserve it."

Ahead of possible changes to the starting eleven, the Coach highlighted that "we've finished the last three matches with ten men, and that affects our continuity. The lads are suffering. They are great professionals and
can see that results aren't going their way. They want to be up there, and we must help them. I believe in the squad. They train strongly and well. They all want to play and are capable. The important thing now is winning,
in whatever fashion. We are looking for the victory to give us belief in what we are doing and move forward."

Finally, speaking about Elche, Egea concluded by highlighting that "they are a good team. We must give them the respect they deserve. They will be a tough opponent in an even match, and the more clinical side will have a
good chance of winning."
