Real Oviedo player, Saúl Berjón, this morning appeared in the Press Room, following the first team’s training match against the B team. “It’s the best possible training session, both for us and for the youngsters. They are showing themselves to be a good youth team. They are top of their league and made things difficult for us.”
Talking about how much the team needs to win away from home, Saúl Berjón reminded fans that, “all 22 teams need to put together wins. We know that we are going to a difficult ground. Alcorcón are a good team and have a great coach. We have to try to score one more goal than them and bring home the victory.”
Regarding the impact on confidence of finally winning a game, Berjón pointed out that, “the team was now trying everything. You could say that it was more a change in dynamic. On Sunday we played slightly worse but got the three points, and that motivates us. It helps our morale, but this team gives everything right until the end.”
In addition, Saúl knows the next ground Real Oviedo play at, the Santo Domingo, very well. The Asturian recalled that, “I spent a year there, and I think it’s a great ground. It’s exactly the same size, but it feels smaller. The fans push them on a lot, and it’s a different ground. The Segunda División is very competitive. It is the only league where 20 of the 22 teams fight for promotion. You have good spells and others which are not so good. We are hoping that the run we were going through is now over, and we are able to pick up as many wins as possible,” he concluded.
