The Real Oviedo Foundation and the Oviedo Opera Foundation maintain their collaboration with the aim of bringing culture and opera closer to the club's immediate environment and the beneficiaries of its social projects.
The new season of the Oviedo Opera is already underway, and 'Maria Stuarda' has been the first title. The work by Gaetano Donizetti is performed under the musical direction of Friedrich Haider and stage direction of Emilio López, as part of a new co-production by the Oviedo Opera and ABAO Bilbao Opera.
The season began in September with 'Sorrow,' a double program that brought together Kindertotenlieder by Gustav Mahler and Suor Angelica by Giacomo Puccini. In the coming months, the program will continue with 'Macbeth' by Giuseppe Verdi; 'Manon Lescaut' by Giacomo Puccini; and 'Così fan tutte' by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
This collaboration allows the Real Oviedo Foundation to continue bringing opera closer to its social projects and to promote comprehensive education based on shared values such as effort, teamwork, and solidarity.
In this way, Real Oviedo continues to strengthen its ties with the Oviedo and Asturian society, bringing the club's values beyond the playing field.
