The afternoon started with Real Oviedo facing an uphill battle, but after a huge effort they managed to secure a happy ending. Anquela opted for the same team that had won the last match at the Carlos Tartiere, changing the formation to another with wing backs, and bringing in Javi Hernández in defence. However, they quickly found themselves trailing. Just two minutes into the match, Osasuna had their first set piece and Unai García fired home to give Jagoba Arraste's side the lead. Real Oviedo found it difficult to respond and they created almost nothing during the first half, although nor were they troubled any further in defence.

The Asturians grew stronger as the minutes passed in the second half. Javi Hernández tried his luck with a fierce strike from distance which went just wide. Anquela turned to his bench earlier than usual to bring on Ibra, and the match changed. With an alteration in personnel and formation, Real Oviedo began to dominate and create constant attacks. After great perseverance, an Osasuna defender was forced to head into his own net for the equaliser. Real Oviedo continued to push forward. Ramon Folch struck a powerful shot which Rubén tipped wide for a corner. Lillo was dismissed for a second yellow card before an Ibra shot grazed the post. Aarón came on and he was next to go close, but he was again denied by the Osasuna keeper. Finally, the winning goal arrived. Saúl Berjón's free kick flew into the top corner, grazing the goalkeeper's glove on the way in. The second goal clinched the victory for 'Los Azules' and provoked mayhem at the Carlos Tartiere.

These were three important points, and the team will return to training at 18:00 on Tuesday at El Requexón.
