Real Oviedo full back, José María Angresola, “Mossa”, appeared in the Press Room at El Requexón this morning.
Ahead of this weekend’s match at the Nou Estadi, the left back declared that, “we always want to win. We know that the last few away games haven’t been like the ones at the start of the season, but we need to stay strong, win the match, and earn points. That’s what we’re working for.”
Regarding the change of coach at Nàstic, Mossa highlighted that, “I have experience of this division, and Enrique Martín stands out for being able to get his teams to compete to the maximum. I’m sure it will be an intense game. A new coach often lifts spirits and I’m sure it will be very difficult.”
Asked how special the match is for the full back following his time at the Catalan club, Mossa said that, “Tarragona will always be special. I spent three very good years there and I’m grateful to the club and to the fans.”
With respect to the possibility of sticking with the same formation, he commented that, “we work on several systems each week and it’s the best way. I believe that the team which adapts best, competes best. The more options we have, the easier it will be to approach matches.” In addition, speaking about whether he preferred to play at full back or wing back, he argued, “I feel most comfortable when we’re doing well. If we’re doing well on the pitch, I really don’t care. The team is the key thing.”
Asked about set pieces and their importance in this division, the full back reasoned that, “football is fickle. The last few goals we’ve conceded have come from set pieces and it’s something we have to improve on, but we can’t get obsessed. We have spent several weeks improving in that area, and it’s important.”
Finally, with the possibility of some squad members recovering in time for the weekend’s match against Nàstic, the defender said that, “the more of us available, the better. It’s good for the team. We are a great group and we need everybody. It’s great that every time someone features they have a good attitude. Matches fall in a certain way and you have to face up to them. The more alternatives we have, the better,” he concluded.
