Since Real Oviedo became a worldwide club in 2012 through their capital increase, which allowed new shareholders from over one hundred countries to join, the club have striven to maintain the global nature that distinguishes them.
Year after year, the club are in constant contact with hundreds of shareholders and supporters from all seven continents. However, in addition to that, the club combine forces to extend their name far beyond our borders and form ties with organisations in other countries.
Thanks to the collaboration agreement signed with Brigham Young University,
from the United States, two students from said teaching institution are currently completing internships with Real Oviedo. They are becoming familiar with the inner workings of the club and getting to know first-hand the social significance of a company like Real Oviedo.
Lauren Grondel, from Nevada, and Conner Anderson, from Arizona, are the two
students who are interning at Real Oviedo at this time. Today they were visited by Professor Scott Alvord, a supervisor of Brigham Young University's student international internship programs, and Professor Rex Nielson, who also teaches at the aforementioned educational establishment.
Alvord and Nielson met today at the stadium with representatives from Real Oviedo, with whom they conversed for a few minutes and exchanged impressions regarding the stay of the student interns.
Two students from Brigham Young University also participated in an internship with Real Oviedo last year. They primarily collaborated with Social Affairs and the Press and Communication Departments, as do this
year's two students.
Last season, a group of 23 students from Brigham Young University led by Professor David Laraway visited Carlos Tartiere and El Requexón training facilities to witness one of the first team's training sessions and to meet
the players.
Brigham Young University, which is located in Provo, Utah, is a prestigious university founded in 1875 and currently has around 30,000 students.
