With players, coaching staff, and other employees awaiting the results of the medical tests taken this morning, preseason at Real Oviedo got underway this afternoon, with the players going through individual training sessions.

Ziganda had a chat with the squad for a few minutes before starting training out on the pitch, as a new campaign began. The players arrived at the training ground in two time slots, with some beginning at 17:00 and others at 18:00. Wearing their new training kit, they went straight out onto the pitch to begin the first session of the 2021/2022 season, with a focus on fitness work.

The next training session, which should be held as a whole group, will begin at 10:00 tomorrow at El Requexón. Access will continue to be restricted for the time being due to Covid protocol. Only members of the media will be allowed access, for just a few minutes.
