The VIP Lounge at the Carlos Tartiere today hosted another act within the #OrgulloYAlmaDeAsturias (Pride and Soul of Asturias) campaign, through which Real Oviedo aims to bring the derby closer to all of Asturian society.

 

On this occasion, the club sent an invitation to the mayors and mayoresses of all 78 Asturian town councils. The invitation was received with surprise and gratitude by the political representatives of the Asturian citizens. The event was also attended by Sergio Baños, Mayor of Pachuca, a city which will become twinned with Oviedo tomorrow.

 

The guests were welcomed by Real Oviedo Club President Martín Peláez, and all of them praised Los Azules' new initiative. They paid thanks to Real Oviedo for a further move to demonstrate the vast links that exist between what an Oviedista feels for their team and the pride of being Asturian.
