As a consequence of the instructions and recommendations set out by the Ministry of Health, LaLiga and the Spanish Football Federation, and following the decision to suspend all competition in all divisions for at least two weeks, Real Oviedo has increased the measures it had introduced a few days ago, and they now affect all areas of the club. These measures will remain in place until further notice.
With respect to the first team, the training schedule will continue as normal despite the league season being suspended, but with a series of measures in place to increase prevention to the maximum level possible. As such, access to the training ground at El Requexón is completely restricted, and exclusively for the use of first-team staff. Other members of club staff, members of the public, and the press do not have access permitted. The training facilities will be used only by first-team players and first-team squad members.
Real Oviedo Vetusta will also continue to train, but following the same prevention steps as the first team, and with all training sessions being moved to Tensi, with access to staff again restricted as much as possible.
In addition, the Real Oviedo club offices at the Carlos Tartiere will be closed to the public from Friday 13th March. The same will apply to our official club stores at Caveda 22 and in Los Prados Shopping Centre. However, online sales will continue with complete normality, as long as the postal services do not suffer restrictions.
The club will continue to operate, establishing a series of minimised services, and making use of all our technological tools, so that all of our departments can continue their activity. We will try to do all the work with as much normality as possible, within the exceptional circumstances required by the situation.
The measures adopted are the consequence of the decision to put every procedure within our powers into action in order to safeguard the health and safety of all the workers, collaborators, and people who form part ofday-to-day life at our club, and in particular our fans. We deeply regret the inconvenience caused, and hope that the situation improves as quickly as possible.
Our channels of communication will remain open and available to both our fans and the press, and the information will be updated daily.
