Real Oviedo Club President, Jorge Menéndez Vallina, has released an institutional message from the club after learning of the postponement of the league season.
"There needs to be a lot of calm; we all have to stay calm. Health comes first. We will meet the regulations set out to us by the health and political authorities. We started with the measures on Monday, and we believed that the best thing would be for the matches not to take place. For the health of our players, and in the interests of our fans."
"Within the club, we continue to work. The isolation measures in the academy have been to suspend their training sessions, but all of them have tables and personalised exercises so that they can continue working. The first team and B team will continue working, in isolation, and with very clear protocols. Inside the club, as a business, it is the same for the employees. We have implemented telecommuting and other measures to keep operating. The shops have closed, but the online shop continues to operate with complete normality."
"We will assess the situation in a few days. Look after the elderly, because they are the most susceptible. Everything will be resumed as soon as possible, hopefully with victories and us moving up the table."
