After the defeat of the Carbayón team in Madrid, the blue coach, Veljko Paunović, appeared at a press conference to analyze his team's performance.

"I think we lacked decisiveness, converting several situations with open field ahead, controlled ball, and superiority. I'm talking about the first half, where we had the feeling that we could score a goal. In the added time of that first half, we lost defensive discipline, conceding an unnecessary foul and corner. Fatigue in those moments affected concentration, and concentration impacted our defensive performance. These mistakes cannot be allowed in modern football. In the second half, football was practically not played."

The Serbian coach, when questioned by journalists, appeared calm, "It's clear that one goal in four matches is not enough, but it's a matter of time. The team will improve, we trust the group we have and the talent. We have the ability to score goals, and we will achieve it. The team is still coming together, getting to know each other with many new players, and there's a bit of a lack of cohesion in that aspect." He added, "We got into their game, the football that wasn't played in the second half, and that took us out of the match. We keep making mistakes that we shouldn't."

Finally, when asked if the international break had affected the team, the blue coach responded, "Of course the break has affected us, many players arrived late, with fatigue, overload, and that affects who is going to start or endure the whole match, especially considering that today was going to be very hot and the field was as it was."
