Real Oviedo closed with a victory over Tenerife B at El Requexón, completing a 'fantastic week' as just four days ago they had defeated Atletico Villalonga at Novo San Pedro to secure a spot in the Second Round of the Copa de la Reina. Three points to move past the league opener in Albacete, regain good form, and once again demonstrate defensive solidity. And to top it off, with a clean sheet.

Sheila's presence in the attacking zone was the only change in Andrea Suárez's starting eleven compared to last weekend's debut. From the opening whistle, the carbayonas came out determined to attack the opponent's goal. Barely three minutes had passed when Eva Lois capitalized on an error by Tenerife goalkeeper Sara Niz. The goal originated from the first corner taken from the right by Nerea Lombardero, which the goalkeeper failed to catch, leaving the ball loose in the area. The Santander native, very alert, struck decisively to make it 1-0 and score her first goal in the blue jersey in the Primera Federación Iberdrola.

Raissa Mbappé, very active in attack, had another chance to extend the lead, though without much luck. The Asturians dominated and constantly created chances. In fact, in the 21st minute, the Cameroonian forward appeared in the area, forcing Sara Niz to intervene to keep the Canarians in the game. Later, Laurina and Marina Martín came close to scoring the second, but neither managed to find the net. Meanwhile, Tenerife B barely posed any threat in the first 45 minutes. Their only opportunity came from the last corner before halftime, which had no impact on the scoreline.

After the restart, Real Oviedo maintained their intensity and quickly found another reward. In the 51st minute, Vera Rico scored the second goal for Andrea Suárez's side, consolidating the carbayonas' lead and reaffirming Oviedo's dominance. 2-0. From there, the coach made substitutions: Anina came on for Vera Rico. The Tenerife players began to approach Laura Martínez's area more frequently, but without much danger. Eva Lois had another chance to score, but Sara Niz denied her a brace. Hähnel replaced Sheila, and shortly after, ADT got some minutes. Mbappé, in the final stretch, had one of the clearest chances of the match, but her shot went over the bar. In the end, a victory in the Copa and a victory in the league. A fantastic week.
