Real Oviedo centre back David Carmo appeared before the media today, during the 'Real Oviedo Day' of the San Mateo celebrations.

Having returned from international duty and made his Real Oviedo debut against Getafe, the defender evaluated his integration into the team, stating that "I like the group a lot, they have welcomed me well. I am ready to start. The other day at El Coliseum I felt good and understood what the Coach wanted. It's true that I went on in difficult circumstances, but I am happy to have got some minutes."

Discussing what Paunovic asks of him, the centre back explained that "he wants me to show attitude and hunger. That is what he asks of all of us. I take it one game at a time, and want to go into them at my best level by working hard every day."

With respect to the differences between Spanish football and the football that he is used to competing in, David Carmo said that "what I like most about Spain is that the teams want to play. It is a competitive division."

Finally, asked about the feeling in the squad following the defeat in Getafe, the centre back believes that "it's time to take it one match at a time, look at what we are doing well, and continue with the processes that we want. We have to do well against Elche and play our game in order to get the three points."
