Real Oviedo Head Coach Veljko Paunovic appeared in the Press Room at El Requexón today, following the penultimate training session for Los Azules.

The Gaffer began by explaining that "the group is working well, but we are annoyed because we aren't getting the results to go with it. We aren't getting the results, but we are continuing to give it everything. We are fully committed. We are looking to start picking up points in this match."

Veljko Paunovic moved on to evaluate the week's plan with several matches in a short space of time, saying that "it's nothing new for us, it's something common. It's a shame that we have a difficult away trip and a day less to work, but it mustn't be an inconvenience. We are going to come through it with the group's work."

Asked how he sees his team, the Serbian highlighted that "I can see them competing and improving, but it's true that things aren't working out for us in terms of picking up points. This is a bad run and it's time to change it. I have no doubt that we are going to start winning points." In addition, with respect to whether his team's performance against FC Barcelona is the model to follow in the coming matches, the Coach commented that "it's one of the versions that the team can show, but we can do more and better. Against Barça we changed some mechanisms, but the team can give more than that. It's true that in terms of character it was similar to what I want, there was cohesion, and they had the spirit that I want."

Regarding the next opponent, Valencia, Paunovic highlighted that "they are a strong team, with good forwards, and they are putting in good performances. We know the coaches from England. Corberán is a great coach and he is going to play in a way that we have to respect. We are going to Valencia with our gameplan and with our spirit from the other day in order to put in a complete performance and pick up points."

Finally, asked about the coming run of fixtures, the Coach believes that "the next two matches are on the horizon and we are looking to start to pick up points. It's crucial that we win the next two matches."
