Victories for Cadete A and Infantil A on the season’s finishing straight

This new weekend for Real Oviedo’s younger categories saw triumphs for the Infantil A and Cadete A sides stand out as highlights.

On Sunday morning, Real Oviedo Vetusta lost 3-0 away at Covadonga. Juan Fidalgo’s side couldn’t handle a Covadonga side who grabbed their goals in the final stages of the match. The silver lining of the game was the debuts of academy players Steven and Ricky. Despite this defeat, Oviedo’s affiliate side remain seventh, 3 points off the playoff places.

Real Oviedo Cadete A managed to secure a resounding 10-0 victory against Astur, with Simón (3), Javi (2), Merayo, Enol, Marcos, Pocho and Nacho on target.

Real Oviedo Cadete B meanwhile succumbed to a 3-1 defeat against Raíces. Despite this defeat, they remain top of their league, four points ahead of their nearest challenger, Quirinal.

Real Oviedo Infantil A achieved an emphatic 10-2 win against Llano, with Rubio, Pedro, Luismi, Pablín, Llorian, Gonzalo and Álvaro (2) all on the scoresheet.

The club’s Infantil B side lost narrowly, 5-4, against Los Campos, with both Alex and Iván netting braces in consolation.

Real Oviedo Alevín A lost 2-1 against Sporting de Gijón, with Nacho scoring for Los Azules.

A goal from Mauro was enough for Alevín B to gain a 1-1 draw against Covadonga.

Real Oviedo Benjamín A picked up a 2-1 victory in their clash against Avilés, with Maru and Mauro hitting the back of the net.

Benjamín B meanwhile lost 8-4 against Vallobín. David, Iván, Farpón and Martin were Oviedo’s goalscorers.

Real Oviedo Prebenjamín A beat Vallobín 8-1. Goals were supplied by Iyán, Antón (2), Enzo (2) and a hattrick from Sergio Coto.

Finally, Prebenjamín B won 3-0 against Centro Asturiano D. Goals from Adri, Darío and an own goal gave victory to Real Oviedo’s junior side.
