Real Oviedo player, José María Angresola “Mossa”, appeared in the Press Room at El Requexón this morning following the team’s return to training, as preparations begin for next Sunday’s visit to AD Alcorcón.

The left back declared himself “happy” after starting last weekend against Córdoba, saying that “I feel good. I came into the starting line-up, and on top of that we won, so I am even happier. The team played well, and
that also helps.” Talking about his contribution, he admitted that, “it’s difficult to maintain your rhythm and intensity when you’re not playing, but I’ve never stopped working, and my time came.”

With respect to how he felt the team played against the Andalusian side, Mossa stated that, “it wasn’t an attractive match, but we did very well. When Córdoba sat behind the ball it was difficult to open them up. We played well in spells, worked hard, and in the end the result went our way.”

Asked about the differences between the match against Córdoba and this Sunday’s clash away at Alcorcón, the Valencian defender pointed out that, “you can’t predict the Segunda División. Each game is a different story
and a battle, and we must fight for it. It will be difficult in Alcorcón and we will try to upset the form book.” In addition, regarding the Santo Domingo and why visiting teams struggle to earn points there, the full back
argued that, “there are grounds with personality, and Alcorcón’s is one of them. They create a different atmosphere there, but we will go there to compete, to play, and to go for the win.”

With respect to how this week has been after earning three points last weekend against Córdoba, Mossa stated that, “victories provide happiness and confidence, they reinvigorate the group and change the way people see
things. You have to take football day-by-day. I just need to work and give the Coach reasons not to take me out of the starting eleven.”

Finally, regarding what a victory in Alcorcón would mean going forward in the season, the Carbayón left back believes that, “this division is even and any team that can put together a run picking up points can change
everything. We hope we can get the win and reinforce the good feelings that are coming back,” concluded the Valencian.
