Real Oviedo fullback José María Angresola Jiménez, “Mossa”, appeared in the Press Room today at El Requexón.

Having recovered from the abdominal pain he was suffering last week, the Valencian declared that “now I am well, feeling better every day. It’s nothing like it was before. I’m happy. I was worried about how much pain I was in; it was a lot. They ran tests, and it’s not anything serious. I am calm and happy now, I wanted to train.” Moreover, speaking about whether he would be ready for the match against Alcorcón, the Real Oviedo defender stated that “I am perfectly well, training and feeling better. Playing Saturday is the Coach’s decision. All I can do is work as hard as I can every day and if I am called upon, then give it the best I have got. The team is the most important thing, we all want to add to the group. That is our common goal and when we all support it, everything is better.”

Talking about his contract renewal with Real Oviedo until 2021, which was made official yesterday, Mossa was “very happy”, stating that “I never thought about going anywhere else. I am happy and very excited here. I believe in our project and am very happy to receive the love of everyone here. I always said that I wanted to experience it as a home player here, and it has exceeded all my expectations. The fans surprise me everyday, and I am privileged to be a part of this project.”

Regarding Real Oviedo’s improving form in 2019, Mossa commented that “we are happy, putting in the work to get the results. We are doing things well, but now things are going our way. We need to take advantage of this. What matters is being up there in May. Being in the playoff positions is important for our morale, but it’s a long season, with a battle every week. Looking beyond the next match would be a mistake. We need to work each week and take each match as it comes.”

When asked about their next opponent, Alcorcón, the full back commented that “we haven’t beaten them. There’s nothing more to say. There are a team that messes with you and makes things difficult. We have to play our game.”

Finally, on the existing unity within the squad, Mossa concluded that “it is difficult to spread it from the inside out. We have always been united, that’s what’s important. I am happy that people are seeing this unity. We have to be strong, united and believe in what we are doing.”
