In a match affected by the loss of Edu Cortina’s father this weekend, Real Oviedo Vetusta never stopped battling, but fell to a 4-1 defeat against Athletic Club B. Bilbao took the lead early on, but some fine play from Steven led to him levelling the scores. The home side pushed on following ‘Los Azules’ goal, and scored two further goals before the interval. Real Oviedo Vetusta continued to try to cut the deficit, but couldn’t find a way through. Bilbao B added a fourth in the 67th minute, converting from the penalty spot.
The result was the least important thing for Real Oviedo’s B team today. They will resume work this week, as they aim for three points at home against Tudelano next weekend.
