The defender stressed that “we are not inferior to anyone” ahead of the trip to Malaga, where the team will have to play at “a great level to win”

Real Oviedo defender, Mossa, visited the Press Room this morning following the training session at El Requexón.

The Valencian started by evaluating last weekend’s draw against Granada, for which he was suspended, highlighting the team’s good work “in a very good first half, where they did what we had worked on during the week. Granada’s goal changed the second half a bit, but we were in the game until we finally got the equaliser at the end, and we could even have won. We have to value this point because it was not easy to get given how the game turned out. The atmosphere created at the Tartiere makes it seem like everything is in our favour, though.”

When asked about the team’s belief, Mossa clearly stated that “It has always been in the team’s DNA to fight until the end and never lose face in games. It has allowed us, in situations like this one, to get points at the end of matches.”

Regarding the next match, the full back noted that “we are facing an opponent which has been in a position to fight for automatic promotion, but we are not inferior to anyone. We have our own weapons, we believe in ourselves, and we know that if we play well, then we can go to Malaga and win.”

As for his absence from the starting eleven, Mossa is calm because "the Coach has spoken to me. He’s been clear, and I try to repay the trust he has shown in me in every training session. I have played many games and now it's my teammates’ turn. What matters most is not me, it's the group, the club, and everyone being able to play their part and add our own grain of sand. Every minute a teammate plays could be the decisive factor in getting us into the playoffs.”

Finally, with respect to the club’s real chance of making the playoffs, the defender guaranteed that "we are convinced that we can compete against anyone and that’s what we must do to win and get in them. What matters most now is the points. The teams that are mentally stronger in these last five matchdays will be the ones which get into the top six,” concluded the defender.
