The Press Room at the Carlos Tartiere today hosted the official presentation of Luismi as a Real Oviedo player.
The midfielder was accompanied by the club's Head of Institutional Relations, César Martín, and Director of Football, Francesc Arnau.  The former welcomed him to the club, commenting that "we are grateful for his commitment and willingness to come here.  He's got involved with the project and shown desire to come here.  We have to thank Real Valladolid and to Arnau; he's a great signing.  He's come in to help get Real Oviedo out of the delicate situation we are in."
For his part, Luismi began by evaluating his first few days in Oviedo, admitting that "when you arrive at a team, the hardest thing to do is to grasp the concepts, but they've made an effort so that I can get them as quickly as possible."
Following his first match at the Carlos Tartiere, the midfielder highlighted that "I like how the fans push you and the pressure there is. This has to be a fortress, and we need to get as many points as possible."
Regarding how his move to Los Carbayones had come about, Luismi explained that "I've come here because, after a year out, I really pushed to be part of this project.  When a club like Real Oviedo want you it's something to be grateful for.  It's true that they were a long few days, but I was always in contact with the club.  We knew that it would happen and here I am."
Asked for his view on the team, the midfielder stated that "there is commitment, attitude and hunger.  The team does everything to win; we just need the ball to go in now.  There is no other option but to keep working."
Finally, with respect to what Javi Rozada asks of him, Luismi commented that "I was talking to him and he told me what he wants of me.  He wants balance and strength in the centre of the field.  I am a versatile player and can adapt to any position."
