Rodri Ríos Signs for Real Oviedo

The forward joins Real Oviedo on a free, on a deal until June 2020

Real Oviedo has reached an agreement to sign striker Rodri Ríos on a free transfer.  The deal lasts until June 2020, with the option to extend it by a further year, according to the completion of a series of objectives.
The contract tying the player to the club was sealed this afternoon.  The club continues to work to solve the difficulties of increasing the salary limit and are working towards being able to register him as a player in the coming days.
Rodrigo Ríos Lozano is 29 years old and was born on 6th June 1990 in Soria.  He came through the academy at Sevilla to make his debut for the side in the Primera División in 2011.  He then moved to FC Barcelona's B team, before moving on loan to Sheffield Wednesday and Real Zaragoza.  He then signed for UD Almería, before passing through the German league and Real Valladolid.  Rodri joined Córdoba CF in the summer of 2016, then Cultural Leonesa, and Granada in summer 2018.  The striker has spent the last few months at Bristol City, who he now joins us from on a free transfer.  Rodri has played a total of 181 matches in the Spanish second division, scoring 37 goals, while he scored 11 goals in 46 matches in Primera.

Having passed a medical at Clínica Asturias, the official presentation of Rodri as a new Real Oviedo player will be announced in the coming days.
The forward will join first-team training immediately, and will not make any comments until the time of his official presentation.
