'Living is Worthwhile' is the name of a documentary telling the tale of Juan Carlos Unzué and his battle against ALS, bringing visibility to the illness and providing a life lesson regarding his manner of dealing with the issue. It's also something which was apparent during the former Real Oviedo goalkeeper's visit to the capital of Asturias. As you can see in the recent third edition of our newsletter, during his visit to El Requexón Juan Carlos Unzué made clear that living being worthwhile should be a life motto.

To return all of the affection shown this weekend, Real Oviedo will contribute to the fundraising effort for the battle against ALS. The club is auctioning off the cycling jersey signed by Juan Carlos Unzué to mark his passion for the sport.

The funds raised will go to ELA Principado, an entity founded in 2001 with the objective of meeting the specific needs of people diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis and their family environment.

The auction of the Real Oviedo cycling jersey signed by Juan Carlos Unzué is now underway on eBay. The auction will be available for seven days, closing next Wednesday, and with the funds raised going to ELA Principado.
