Real Oviedo forward Miguel Linares, along with eight of his teammates, stopped by the Clínica Rehberger López Fanjul this afternoon for a routine dental examination.
The striker, who netted three goals in the friendly game against Vetusta this past Saturday, appeared content with the first days of the preseason. "I feel good, we know that this is period where we are going to suffer in order to be in good shape later, but at my age I enjoy each training and each beating that they give us daily. You reach an age when you learn to enjoy this stage".
When asked about his feelings concerning the first scrimmage of the preseason, Linares indicated that he likes "to score, even in training sessions. The other day was just another training, goals during the preseason aren't worth much at all, but I am pleased. Everything that comes nour way and improves the quality of the team is in our common interest, to make it hard for the coach when the time comes to choose who plays".
Finally, and in reference to the coach, the striker explained that "I already knew Anquela, he is a man with character, very kind and close to each player. He understands clearly what he wants, he has done great things with humble teams. He wants to work with us on the concepts until we have them engraved in our memory, and that is what we are doing":
