LaLiga has used an official statement this lunchtime to announce the suspension of at least the next two matchdays.
*"In light of the circumstances which have arisen this morning, with Real Madrid entering a period of quarantine and possible positive cases in players at other clubs, LaLiga considers that the circumstances have now been met for the next phase of the action protocol against COVID-19 to be followed. As such, in accordance with the measures established in Royal Decree 664/1997 of 12th May, it has agreed to the suspension of at least the next two matchdays.*
*This decision will be reevaluated at the end of the quarantine periods at the affected clubs, and other possible situations which may arise.*
*LaLiga, as the organising body of the competition, has proceeded to communicate this to the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), the National Sports Council (CSD), and the clubs."*
Competition in the Segunda División B and the youth leagues has been suspended since yesterday. Training for all of our youth teams remains cancelled.
