The Press Room at the Carlos Tartiere today hosted the presentation of the award for November's 'Jugador Cinco Estrellas' Player of the Month to Juanjo Nieto.  The Carbayón full back stood out due to his fine run of form, which saw him also provide the team with goals and assists, and he has now been recognised by the fans of Los Azules.  The fans chose between the five players nominated by the beer company on their twitter profile @futbolmahou, and selected the right back as the winner.  He was presented with the award by Daniel Menéndez, from Cafetería Santa Fe, on behalf of Mahou.
Having been presented with the prize, Juanjo Nieto spoke to the Press in attendance, admitting that "I'm happy on both an individual and a collective level.  We are performing well and we must keep going like this."
Real Oviedo will have the opportunity to get another three points this weekend against Cádiz.  Regarding the match, the full back said "the league leaders are coming.  We are hungry going into the game; we are motivated. We have to compete man-to-man, with the fans pushing us on."
With respect to the team's form, the right back stated that "we know that the first half of the season hasn't worked out how we'd wanted, but now we have to finish the season well.  We have to play as if our lives depend on it and get as many points as possible."
Asked how to overcome the threat posed by Cádiz, Juanjo believes that "we have to stop them by competing.  In this division you have to compete equally against the team that is top as you do against the team at the bottom, and make the most of our weapons."
Regarding the arrival of Arnau, the full back commented that "he's here to help.  The more people helping the better.  We have to compete on the pitch and keep going."
Finally, the defender evaluated his first few months at Real Oviedo, highlighting that "I was calm from the start.  I've come to a club with high demands and knew that I could only prove myself through hard work.  I am feeling good now, working hard, and I want to show I should be on the pitch every weekend."
